Three new call centres in Hendon, Bow and Lambeth are being brought online to handle the three million calls made by the public each
year. The programme has involved constructing and equipping three new buildings into which we are putting 999
call-handling facilities, three non-emergency call-handling facilities, and 32 borough control rooms.
Over the coming months, the call centres will replace the 32 contact centres currently operating in the three
London boroughs and mpg are assisting with the building services quantity surveying.
The centres will be equipped with AIT Group's Portrait call handling software, which allows non-emergency calls to be
routed through to the appropriate handlers. |
