MPG Holdings acquires Bedford based Quantity Surveyors G F Civils

MPG Holdings Ltd, the group company of Watford based M & E quantity surveyors MPG Associates, has recently acquired G F Civils Ltd in a deal that will allow MPG to significantly expand its consultancy operations.

MPG provides a wide range of services including commercial and cost management, tendering and estimating, contract administration, project management, value engineering, claims, dispute resolution, expert witness and document management.

G F Civils Ltd, established in 1998 by Nigel Grout, has an annual fee turnover in excess of £1 million, and provides specialist quantity surveying and commercial support services throughout the UK exclusively to the civil engineering industry. It currently employs 18 staff and consultants.

MPG expects the acquisition to complement existing services as there is an excellent synergy between the customer base and projects undertaken of both firms. With MPG already having offices in the United Arab Emirates and Europe, the transaction also provides an immediate opportunity to access the strong civils market in these areas. A further office has recently been opened in Stratford to facilitate work in connection with the London Olympics.

Under the new management structure, existing MPG Managing Director Michael Gallucci will also become MD of G F Civils. Nigel Grout will become Practice Manager and continue to work from the Bedford office.

The acquisition increases MPG’s staff to over 70, with annual turnover in excess of £4 million.
