were extremely proud to support South East based racing driver Andy Britnell on his return to the Porsche
Carrera Cup over the weekend of the 14th and 15th October 2006 at
Silverstone Circuit after almost a year off through Business
commitments.
Andy was runner up in last years British GT Championship driving a
996 derivative GT3 Cup car and is looking forward to his first
outing in the new for 2006 997 GT3 Cup car which now boasts a
sequential gearbox and the latest digital dash readout and
telemetry.
The Porsche Carrera Cup GB supports the competitive and popular
British Touring Car Championship and Andy will be driving for the
highly professional Motorbase Performance Team who will be
fielding a total of 4 Carrera Cup cars and 2 BTCC Cars at
Silverstone. The Team have recently acquired the ex-works SEAT
Toledo S2000 specification Cars with a view to a full Campaign in
2007 and will be putting one of the cars out for the first time with
the quick youngster Tom Ferrier at the wheel. The ebullient Dave
Pinkney will drive the Honda Integra Type R and Tim Harvey, Michael
Caine and the recently crowned Pro-Am Champion, Phil Quaife, will
drive the remaining Carrera Cup cars.
Motorbase Team principal David Bartrum commented “it is good to have
Andy back in one of our cars and we will be expecting a strong
performance from him even if he might be a bit rusty!”
Andy is being supported in his outing by MPG Associates, an
International Property and Construction Cost Consultancy, Buyland
