What Are The Awards?
The QS Awards recognise and reward excellence, innovation and
professionalism, creating great role models to encourage new
talent into the profession.
Established by QS News and its sister magazine Building, the
awards recognise the industry’s top quantity surveying
performers and encourage higher standards throughout the sector. |

QS Young Achiever of the Year 2006
This award recognizes the talents and successes of young
quantity surveying or project management professionals. It is
open to graduates under 30 working in a consultancy firm, or any
other organization. The judges won’t simply be looking for
academic success, although you will have to demonstrate a
commitment to continued professional development. The young
achiever award is about finding the industry’s future leaders.
So the judges will want to hear about the challenging projects
you’ve been involved with, as well as some of the things you are
involved with outside of work. The award is open to graduates
who were under 30 years of age on 1st January 2006 |

What the judges are looking for:
- Commitment to CPD
- Determination to succeed and a “can-do” attitude
- Involvement in interesting projects or initiatives
- Evidence of a wider view of the world than simply work, for
example, getting involved in local RICS organizations and
events; mentoring younger colleagues; or encouraging the next
generation of QS’s

What can be achieved:
